I'm Thankful
I know it's after Thanksgiving, but get over it.
I'm thankful for my job. As many of you know, I was unemployed for over a year after leaving Apple, and while I was working for several clients off and on in between then and now, it was tough, and the money got pretty tight a time or two. Working at Vitrue now, things are much better and I have the freedom to worry less about where rent money is coming from and focus more on moving ahead in my life and accomplishing the things I want. And, I actually really like my job. That helps.
I'm thankful for everyone who's been kind to me and stuck with me over the last year. People at Trinity, The Winsted Family, Robert Spiotta, Erik Wolf, Becky Clutter, my family, and many others all deserve thanks. They have all shown me generosity I didn't deserve and shown a faith in me that I didn't always even have in myself. Their kindness has gotten me through a lot, and I owe them all more than I can repay.
I'm thankful for the internet. How many of us take for granted the amazing age of instant communication we live in and the ease with which we can share our ideas around the globe. I think we are too often to share complaints and the little negative observations that come readily to mind on Twitter and Facebook. I would encourage each of you to make the effort to share more positive news and opinions this Holiday Season.
